We're juniors now?" exclaims Junior Lyn Wancket, voicing a uestion that came to many juniors' linds when asked how they felt to be second year student at IMSA. The iniors started their year unused to leir new position, all wondering what le new year would bring. However, le adjustment to junior life was quick ad juniors soon realized their new lace and responsibilities in the ammunity. The year started extremely well )r the class of '99. The juniors rganized themselves as one and xutted their stuff during Homecom- lg week with pride. At Skit Night, the Juniors in Black creatively dis– played their humorous side with their theme, "A Night at the Movies," losing to the seniors by only four points. Though some were bitter, for the most part no hard feelings remained; the juniors were confident of their victory next year. Of course, juniors were also deeply engaged in their studies this year. With PSATs and a myriad of new activities, the reputation of junior year as the most difficult year of high school proved true for many. While sophomores, they were often seen around campus simply hanging out and relaxing. This year, taking a break from students was a personal treat. "This year's a whole lot harder than sophomore year," con– cluded Junior Marisa Zuskar. Even still, juniors still took time for fun, forever finding ways to brighten their days. Class club sponsored several activities to boost spirits that were great successes. The Halloween dance was a blast and many people were delighted to receive flowers from loved ones on Sweetest Day. Some students, in fact, felt that this year offered more opportunities. "I feel that I got myself more involved this year and I had a lot more fun," says Junior Erikka Conrad. With such optimistic outlooks, junior year proved to be a memorable experience. A L&idesiciassrneris \ 89
