Our Time 1998

W inter Formal '98 was a "Walk in the Clouds" for students in more ways than one. "It was the most relaxed, carefree dance I ' ve been to so far. My date and I had a terrific time, even though we didn't do anything spectacular. All we cared about was enjoying ourselves, instead of obsessing over stressful details," recalled Senior Abigail Moy. The positive sentiment was shared by several others who attended the dance, despite a few minor setbacks. Because the dance was held on a Friday, those who attended had less time for dinner plans. However, that hardly proved an obstacle, for the turnout was impressive. The students, all decked out in glamour and style, poured steadily into the West Gym throughout the evening. Some lined up for photos, some headed straight for the dance floor, and some searched for their names on the flying cherubs that served as wall decs. In addition, the DJs encountered occassional technical difficulties, but the problems did not detract too much from the night's festivities. Nevertheless, Winter Formal offered IMSA the chance to shine it's brightest, whether they chose to do so through the smiles on their faces or the sequins on their dresses. That was the most important and entertaining aspect of the evening. All in all, it was "another fine time in the West Gym," as Senior Jeremy Best concluded. •r. \ StuApnt&.ilo, \ 2 1
