Our Time 1998

A to Remember T his year, Homecoming was an extremely popular event. Students took the Saturday off to go to different places with their dates in a day of fun. While some escaped campus to cruise the streets of Chicago, other couples stayed at IMSA and went to cheer the Titan Soccer team on at the Home coming Game. After this exhausting and activity packed day, students took a much-needed break from Arbor food and dined at a variety of different restau rants ranging from Lorenzo's to McDonald's. Using Homecoming as an excuse to get out of the room and enjoy themselves, students could be found shopping, eating, talking or even just relaxing together with their friends. After this day of fun, however, all came back to IMSA to attend the dance. This year, the theme was "Hollywood Nights" and as students entered the west gym to boogie the night away, they could immediately see the theme in the festive decorations adorning the walls and floor. Balloons and streamers hung from all over the gym, adding their bright colors to the night's music and dance. Finally, at 10:45 P.M., all students stood quietly awaiting the entrance of the Homecom ing Court. Everyone cheered as Akash Shah and Nalo Jackson were crowned the new king and queen and as they began to dance to the love theme from Top Gun, they began to enjoy the music and dance their own few moments together for the night. Overall, people enjoyed the dance immensely. It was a great success and a great way to start the year. With the big success of Homecoming, everyone looked forward to the upcoming Winter Formal and Spring Fling.
