Our Time 1998
T he twelfth volume of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy Gallimaufry yearbook was created by nineteen students, as an extracurricu– lar activity or work service. The theme, "Our ime," was created by the Editorial Staff during the sum– mer of 1997. The two hundred and eight page book was published by Taylor Publishing Company, 1500 West Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, Texas. Approximately 550 copies of the 1997-1998 Gallifinaufry yearbooks were printed and sold at $40 at the beginning of the year, and then $45 after De c embe r l. Matte Paper Stock was used for body text pages. Signatures three, four and five were printed in four-color. The end sheet stock incorporated artwork at four-color. The artwork on the endsheets title page and table of contents was created by Abigail Moy. Trimsize is 8.5 inches by 11 inches. The cover is lithicote with a gold fold stamp. YARE Photographic Services provided team photos. Pres– tige Portraits by Life Touch of Crystal Lake, Illinois, pro– vided most group shots, dances, enlargements, individual protraits, developing and printing. Pictures were taken with Ilfold Hp5 black and white and Mitsubishi 400 school activities film. Abigail Moy designed the cover text. Times New Roman was used for body text and captions. Amazonia, Athena, Ballard Vale, Burn, Burn Condensed, Bodini 2 Campanile, Brush, Cabal, Calson, Openface, Copperplate Gothic, Cosmos, Durante, Embassy, Eric, Eric Condensed, Finesse, Franklin Book, Franklin Contour, Franklin Demi, Franklin Heavy, Franklin Outline, Freehand Script Genesis, Shadow, Mistril, Remedy Single, Remedy Double, Gourmand, Gourmand Condensed, Jefferson Script, Malibu, Momen t a, Muse Script, Nouveau, Nouveau Gothic, Opus, Reporter, Rinna, Riviera Script, Seville, Times Roman were used throughout the book for headlines and some text. Layout and copy were created on a Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 and Microsoft Word. A Power Macintosh 7200/120 was used for all computing. A Hewlett Packard 4 M Plus printed pages before shipping. A special note on senior Quotations: The quotations, graph– ics and fonts that appear by the seniors' portraits were chosen by individual seniors to represent their opinions of themselves and of our world.
