And what about the An ime Club and Aerobics Club gathering in the wing lounges both watching TV for different reasons and having fun? In the past years, the Chess Team has placed well in state — well, actually, they are reigning State Champions for the past two years. In late March, the team will go down to compete at State again this year. Captain of the Chess Team, Senior Tom Johnson, commented on the excellent chances of IMSA captur– ing the state title yet again this year. So, don 't be surprised to hear of IMSA as State Chess Champions once again. What could possibly be adorning the wing TV screens? Artistic, attractive cartoon characters speak– ing in Japanese? What else could this be? An ime Club has been a gathering for lovers of these types of cartoons for many years. It was common for groups of people to sit in front of a TV for hours. And you thought Melrose Place was addictive! 1 and 2 and 3 ... can be heard from wing lounges on campus. What could possibly be counting along with those punctuated thuds of feet and grunts of breath? Why, it's IMSA's Aerobics Club. After a two-year absence, the club has independently met in wing lounges exercising. "Aerobics is a lot of fun. It is great exercise," commen t ed Senior Princess Imoukhuede. What a great way to get those wellness hours! And without having to fight for the equipment in the gym! 172 ^ L A U
