He spent some of his summe r wo r k i ng with the CNS , the Compu t e r Ne two r k i ng System on campus. The summe r wa s quite different for incoming sophomo r e of the class of 1999. Many of them were awaiting their arrival to IMSA for the very first time in the fall and experiencing their last summe r at home. "I d i dn ' t really wan t to come..." said a wistful sophomor e Jill Starzyk. Others, like Maliha Mustafa, experienced going to Excel, the summer camp to prepare students for the Academy. "I went to Excel and I had a blast," she said. In all, the summer of 1997 was fun no matter who was asked. Students on the whole mostly caught up with family members and friends and enjoyed some time away from school. It was the perfect summer to begin the perfect year.
