Some students like that the MI classes are dis– cove r y - ba s ed and p r omo te cohe s i vene ss be twe en the ma th disciplines. Others, like Jun i or Al i ce Hsuing, prefer the calculus sequence. For Sophomo re Lau ra S t udn i cka p r ob l em sets create frustration because of "all the t ime they take...and the fact t hey are impos s i b le to do by your– self." For others, p r ob l em sets are a pa in be c au se of the extra ma th wo r k. Students t h r oughout the c ampus can be hea rd mumb l i ng and cursing the p r ob l em sets the night before they are due, but as on MI - 2 student said, they ma ke us wo rk t oge t he r ."
