B o y s ' V o l l e y b a l l The boys' volleyball team had ) acquire a completely brand new >ok this year. They had no returning :arters to rely on and a new, but ynamic and talented coach, (Don lora, a lean mean surfing machine "om the sunny beaches of Califor- ia) to become accustomed to. The a m had two newcomers (Byron Li nd Luke Schneider, both juniors) as rst year players that quickly stepped p into starter positions as the season rogressed. They also had the efforts f Cliff Kane, sophomore sctraordinaire. The team worked arder for two hours each practice lan they had ever had before in their titire lives, and were transformed into the best volleyball team that the Illinois Math and Science Academy has ever had. Their final record was 3-17, but it is important to remember that the majority of the teams that they played against were some of the highest ranked teams in the state.
