run... the stretch beforehand! C r o s s - c o u n t r y "Confucious say— Both boys and girls Varsity will go 12-4" * / Ok, so maybe Jimmy Lu's fortune cookies weren't that explicit, but they could have been. After a season hallmarked by cooperation and teamwork, almost anyone could have predicted their success. Although the Sophomore Boys weren't able to pull off quite as strong a season, they still showed a great deal of promise, and made progress toward next year's team. Even though running is "so personal" according to Ernie Chu, there is a great deal to being a team member. There are bus rides, whistling shoes, long practices and even some help from R.C. Brad Stufflebeam, who is a new addition to the team's structure. Through the good and the bad, somehow, the team was always there to cheer together and laugh at it all. So, despite the puddles, the mosquitoes and everything else it was a great season of food, folks, and.. . fortune cookies? Girls Cross-Country (right): Back row- Coach B. Stufflebeam, M.
