T e n n i s The IMSA Cross Country enjoy the best pa If you would happen to walk by the tennis courts after school, you probably will hear some words that make no sense to you. Don't think that it's aliens from Mars coming to take over the world because it's only tennis jargon, and if you ask any player of the IMSA Girls' Tennis team she will be able to explain it to you. (Is there any other sport in which a "love" means zero, "fifteen" actually means one, "thirty" is two, and "forty" is three?) This year, the Girls' Tennis team was fortunate to have fourteen returning players. They and the team's new additions spent the season hitting millions of tiny green balls, doing jumping jacks, lunges (at least when Coach Jay Thomas was looking at them..), running suicides, and winning meets together. Their hard work paid off. After the multitude of matches after school and invitationals on early Saturday mornings, everyone could admit to vast personal improve– ment. In addition, Ann Chen (senior), Heather Hyun (senior), Jenny Deller (junior), Vicki Nopachai (junior) and Rebecca Reichert (junior) advanced to sectionals.
